CLIMATE CHANGE: EFFECT - DROUGHT

Changes in weather patterns caused by the melting of arctic ice is triggering high-pressure ridges that block storms from reaching California. The lack of precipitation is threatening more and bigger droughts for the state. The 2011-2014 drought was the most severe in 1,200 years.
